SheRises: Fostering Economic Independence and Combating Violence Against Women and Girls. It focuses on leadership, financial management, stakeholder coordination, and gender-sensitive programming, which are essential for the project’s success in addressing VAWG and empowering women economically.

1.⁠ ⁠Background
The SheRises: Fostering Economic Independence and Combating Violence Against Women and Girls project seeks to foster economic independence and combat violence against women and girls (VAWG)in Lebanon by providing targeted interventions in both socio-economic empowerment and the prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV). The project will promote women’s access to education, skills development, economic opportunities, and support services, while also working to address harmful gender norms, improve access to justice, and enhance support mechanisms for women affected by violence.
Through capacity building, awareness campaigns, advocacy, and direct support to vulnerable women and girls, the project aims to create long-term change in both the social and economic empowerment of women and girls.
